2) That is the sensor for the EGR computer (!)- which resides in the passenger footwell. The EGR computer takes in temperature and rpms and then decides how much egr to dial in (via a vacuum actuator on the intake manifold)
I have yet to figure out how that EGR rpm sensor can be hooked up to a tachometer..but give me a boring afternoon and a the goodies from a 300D and I just might do it
(the connector on the 240D's are coax, the connector for the rpm sensor on a 300D/300SD have 3 wires...)
