How exactly does that work?

Every time the unit is activated in economy, it works just fine. 20 minutes later it is not fine. It engages the compressor.

What possibly could be happening electrically that allows the unit to work every time it is reset? Would not bad solder joints be an ongoing, intermittent problem?
