Those regulators on the 202's act up just like the 210 chassis.
I'd make the car ready by removing the cover under the passengers side dash so when it fails you can maybe try jumping B+ and B- to the motor and see if it takes off running. OH also in the failed state, try hitting "defrost" and see if that gives you full fan or not. You could also try measuring how much voltage is being provided to the blower in the failed state.
