mercedes benz of north america does not replace these panels, they just remove them, i did have a service bullitin on the subject somewhere, but i cannot find it. they had said it was because it would continue to happen and would result in excessive warranty claims. bottom line it would cost too much. so either way it will cost mercedes or the customer. would you pay repeatedly for that? 8 or more hours at $90- $100 dollars an hour?
seems excessive for a little sound.
