Clauser1,
yes, the coil will work on 4cyl-8cyl engines. yours is an inline 6 like mine. the coil costed me around $60 ordered from a auto parts store. get the Accel Electronic super coil, part no. 140008. the coil took me about 2 hours to install including making a bracket. i have a machine shop in my basement so i snaped it out pretty quick. a simple bracket can be made with sheet aluminum a drill and a dremil tool/bandsaw. the ignition wire that is included with the coil did not come with an adaptable boot for the new coil. i just snipped off the old ignition coil boot and replaced it with accels distributor boot kit. (included)
i hope this helps, any other questions?
