Exhaust must be funky, it shouldn't be hanging free on that car, rather should be pulled up tight against the body "bumpers" -- likely they are missing. Should be a flange by the muffler and a rubber bumper on the body.

check the mount on the tranny, too, might be off and letting the exhaust move too much.
