It is a bit heavier, but I found it easy to swap engine & trans together. But then, I was swapping both engine and trans from one vehicle to another. I replaced an '82 OM617 with 380 000km with an '80 with 220 000km and decided that the lower kms on the trans justified swapping it into my wife's car at that time.
