I have a 1993 500E with cold start ASR issues. I'm planning on building the DIY Radio Shack reader tonight. Under the hood, a 11 pin controller is evident (round with 11 prongs in crescent shape) next to control module area. I'll will check for 38 pin controller under cover of control modules.

Where and how do I start with the bananna clips of the DTC reader?
