For what it's worth, my W124 does exactly the same thing, and my climate control system is working fine including the aspirator motor (referred to in the post above). I figure that since heat rises, the sensor is reading a higher temperature than our bodies. Like yours, mine stabilizes after a minute or two. I think it's just the nature of the beast.
