Is this the 115 you bought last year? Better check the door bottoms too for rust from puddles of water collecting in the doors. Condom lube sounds reasonable. I've also heard of silicone rubber lube in spray cans. Maybe check for marine product since you are in Portugal where they've got millions of harbors. There's got to be something that you can treat the rubber with.
