The metal box that holds the radio in place? Why do you want to remove that? I think you have to remove all the pieces of the center console to get to that bracket.

AFAIK there are 2 bulbs for the 5 middle buttons of the ACC. There is a prism arrangement that distributes light to each button. Pressing a button puts it in place to receive more light. I don't recall if there's are separate bulbs for the fan buttons and thumbwheel or more prisms. I'll have my ACC unit out this weekend for service.
