When running used motor oil, you are in reality turning your clean fuel into dirty fuel. I have had several friends over the years cause problems to their truck's and car's by running dirty motor oil. One guy even filtered his used diesel oil to 5 micron and still had trouble with injector fouling. I relate it to using diesel in a can to clean say wheelbaring grease, then pouring it into your fuel tank.
