I'am not replying to your speed control problem, although the tire size differences may very well be the problem, what with all the different electronic gizmo's that are in play. As you also have an SL, I would ask if you are having any problems with the top rubbing the small rear plasti windows when you put the top down? See my notice just before yours on the board.
