I have a SnapOn EuroChecker, which is a code reading and re-setting tool. It comes with all cables and software needed for most 1990+ Audi, BMW, Mercedes, VW, Volvo, etc., cars.

Most 1992 MB cars (like mine) don't respond to this unit - it is intended to work on 95+ MB cars, and lists the S420 specifically. Due to the fact that it doesn't work on my car, I am selling it. (It was special order, so SnapOn won't take it back).

I paid over $600, and will sell it for $500 (all cables, books, carrying case, etc., in "as new" condition - only the MB cable has been opened, and used only once.
