As far as I know the door sills snap into place. Not sure how to pry off without damaging the paint adjacent to the sill. The local MB dealer's Service Department replaced the driver's door sill in our 1998 E320 which they damaged while removing the driver's seat to repair the track. So it must be fairly simple to DIY. Try asking at a local bodyshop that works on MB cars.
