I had the most pleasant surprise when I went to view the 1955 300c, it shares the garage with a 1959 300d
Actually, I think I was drooling
55 is black and 59 is white
I know what you guys will be thinking......buy BOTH.
The 55 runs and is all complete, the 59 is dead(f.i. problem, me thinks)and has 14inch wheels and tyres from a W108, the originals are *somewhere*, according to the seller. There may be an ownership dispute as well with the 59, but it is a sharp looking car with the frameless windows, hardtop to you Yanks
Plus it has power steering while the 55 is manual steering
Please god, I have been a good boy for the last ten years.........
