If you guys actually read the report first hand the car had a total of slightly over 5 million kilometers (3,000,000+ US miles) and had 3 engine rebuilds. MB bought the car (used as a taxi) from the driver. He recieved a new MB for the car and a free trip to Germany. It is the world record holder for a chassis, and it has the same engine just rebuilt. The highest mileage car on the road last year was a Volvo with a little over 1.1 million miles on the car and unrebuilt engine. I have heard rumor that it has since had to have a rebuild on the engine, but don't know for sure. No I haven't tried to find out.
