I have a problem with the passenger side power seat in my us spec 87 190E 2.6... the seatback would only recline and not come forward.... then with a lot of percistence (I held the switch forward for like 30 sec) it finally mouved forward, and now wouldn't recline !? then the switch started smoking (@#^$$&@@$#!!!), and it would not go either way.... the next day i tried it and now it only reclines again... the rest of the chair functions (tilt, moving forward/ reverse) work fine... any thoughts about this... is it the switch, or the chair motor? how do you remove the switch t examine it?
