Not sure what color the o-rings are on my motor... I didn't pull any of the tubes... just checked them while I was checking the chain stretch. I grabbed the pix of the individual tube off the 'net; it didn't come from my motor.
All went back together fine. The valve cover gasket on these motors is pretty elaborate and looks prone to leak, but I've been running 0-40W Mobil 1 without any problems/leaks.
Only fluid leak on the motor is a slight weap from the lower oil pan gasket. Somebody tightened the allen bolts way too much and has ruined the gasket. Never drips; just gets damp between oil changes. Unfortunately, MB made the lower pan so it can't be removed without lifting the engine to get to the forward bolts.
Actually, my motor mounts are a bit compressed. When I change the filter, I need to shift the motor ever so slightly to the driver's side to get the cover out. Its no big deal but have new mounts and pan gasket on the shelf... will do both at the same time in the Spring.
