Mercedes 'Sportline' springs and shocks for your car will work nicely. There were a few 'Sportline ' model W124s where their parts will bolt right onto your car... Do a search on them here for more info.
The rear springs are very easy to R&R...no compressor is needed but in the fronts you will need a compressor to get them out. All 4 shocks are very easy to do with regular tools and a couple of jacks/stands.
