You will get musty mildew carpets anyway and the water in the carpets will be trapped as mositure which will then will rust the floorboards, It doesnt take long for even Galvanized Mercedes floorboars to rust! On my 240 D, it took place in less than a Year, i was AMAZED. Also the water will run down the back of your firewall right alomg the path that contains a lot of wiring grounds and inevitably get your front carpets wet too. Please kill it at the source!!!
