I did not like them AT ALL
I too wanted more light from my 87 300E, so tried Silverstar, USA version.
They were not very helpful and I yard sold them at yard sale and went back to the original bulbs.
Seems like they are whiter, but focused in a smaller area, so do not really light up much of the road. I tried aiming the beam but could not get the coverage area to be as large as OEM. I also think my 64 year old eyes do not work as well with the ultra white wave lengths as the longer lengths. For instance, I really liked my yellow fogs and wish for them on my S420.
I even tried some 100 watt (read illegal off road) bulbs, but they too were the "white" version and did not really give any more visibility.
I'd say don't waste the money like I did. I kept remembering my old 79 BMW which had French 4 "Ciebe" H4's, but could not get anywhere near that much light on the 300E without going "Europe" version headlamps.
My (USA) 95 S420 has a much better lighting system however.
