Ethan, thanks. The screw size and type on the cover screws are 25 torx.
However, if you look closely towards the inside of the cover you will notice more screws. I have no way of telling at this point if the inner screws are to be removed also, that looks impossible. My conclusion at this point is that the whole top engine cover snaps up, but I'm still not sure. I can't find anyone who has taken the cover off to change the filters. Let me know if you find out anything more.
