I never even knew it.Apparently even the British press at the time was reporting this as a phony event while we were shown pictures of what looked like cheering crowds and never given the real story on it.

The point of the documentary was well worth understanding, no matter what side you are on - al Jazeera, by taking nothing the Pentagon says for granted, putting a critical eye on everything it says, and doing the journalistic footwork required, has been making fools of us on the world stage and we average Ameiricans don't even know it - and it is because the new Pentagon propaganda is designed for us, not the enemy. We are told that we are having a Nintendo War, where few civilian are hurt - the Iraqis know this is not true, the rest of the world, thanks to Al Jazeera know it it is not true, but we in the states are told that it is. We are told how much the Iraqis love us and how our reconstruction projects are winning the hearts and minds of the Iraqis - the Iraqis, whose children we now find are by and large starving, know this is not true, the world knows it is not true, but we think it is. You could make a list a mile long. No matter what one thinks of Al Jazeera, this film raises some very disturbing points about the state of our own democracy. How could we have had a fair election if people were voting based on this propaganda we have been getting from our whore media and its Pentagon pimp?
