Thanks for the welcome back. I figured everyone would be happy to have the grumpy ol' man gone for awhile. I've been pretty buried in a project for awhile. It's not complete, but it's now under control. In addition to that I've just been really buisy around the place.
Yes, I'll be keeping the old box and yes, I can already fill the new one.
My old one was bulging at the seams and I still had tools hanging on the wall in the old shop. Now I can bring everything over to the "new" shop (if you can call on old hay barn with new concrete a new shop.)
Once I get the new one set up, I'm moving the old one to the back corner where my welder, welding table, bench grinder and glass bead box are located. I figure the grinding sparks and welding splatter surely can't hurt it. The whole shop is a mess, but the welding corner is a REAL mess because there's no storage. I find myself walking away leaving welding gloves, helmet, grinders, chipping hammer, welding rod storage containers and everything else just laying around on the floor or wherever.
Now my next addition needs to be a wire welder. I've been bubble gumming with an old AC crackle box for way too long. I think I need to upgrade my welder into the 21st. Century.
Sorry I didn't get the pictures today, I just ran out of time.
C ya,
