If the headlight is inop, more than likely it's the bulb. This is assuming you have just normal headlights, not HID or "Xenon" headlights. Hopefully you know if you have Xenon headlights or not. Something really needs to be broken before a new headlight would be required. it tells you in your owners manual better than i can describe how to replace the bulb. It's pretty easy.
