I flew C141's in the reserves all over the world. You may try to diguise yourself but Americans stick out like a sore thumb.
Our manerisms(?) and habit patterns give us away all the time. So unless your very familiar with local cultures in each different country just try not to be a PITA and enjoy yourself.
Also be careful where and when you travel. Too many Americans go anywhere thinking they have "rights" while in a foreign country. Your "rights" end when you get to the US border and don't return until you cross it coming home.
The only time I would wear the "Canadian camoflage" would be while on an insurgent operation in Canada. But remember you will be shot as a spy, if caught. One slip of a "yous guys" or "what the fu**" and they can shoot you on the spot, or buy you a beer ,"Eh".
