Carson, you have an owners manual in adobe format? I don't see how that post fits into this thread at all.
You can't automatically say if it's the front or rear pads because the light comes on. You need to inspect the pads. Usually the fronts wear out at twice the rate of the rears, but if the fronts have already been replaced, I suppose the rears could have been ovrlooked and now the indicator is coming on for a rear sensor.
The ML55 I believe has a sensor at each wheel.
