Hi. I'm from India. I own a large Indian SUV, the Tata Safari, a good but rather underpowered car. I happen to have a mercedes E270 cdi engine lying around, 2700 cc, 5 cylinder , 170 hp. This engine is missing an ECM, and I am trying to procure one for it. Suppose I do manage to get an ECM, can I fit this engine onto my car without too much technical hassles or is there a lot I need to watch out for. The fitting I will get done but will the car run within this setup?
Any help on procuring the ECM will also be appreciated. Even the part number of this ECM will help.
