I always use Balo rotors, Pagid or Textar pads, and get good life (30,000 plus on fronts) and never any noise, wonderful brakes.

DO NOT use MetalMasters (except maybe the newer "soft" ones) if you don't want squeals.

Clean the slots where the pads go completely, and use some antiseize on the parts of the caliper where the backing plate touches (none on the friction material, please!).

Use some coarse sandpaper to remove the machining marks on the new rotors, this does a lot to prevent groaning brakes.
