You have to turn the black "surround" section around the tumbler. Do you already have your new one? If you do you can see the mechanism that "unlatches" when you press the release. Once the mechanism is unlatched the black surround part should turn counterclockwise while pulling out on the tumbler. Once you have it out it is intuitively obvious how it works
