I don't have an answer, but I can sympathize with you because my vacuum pump stopped working last summer when it got wet from front window seal leak.

My indy says the have some electronics that go bad and you simply replace them. Unfortunately, a new pump isn't on my Christmas list so I lock it like a '70s car.
