Check the fuel pump relay (probably time to replace it anyway) and the fuel pumps. Don't know if you have the infamous MAS relay instead of separate ones (big bummer, it's pricey).
You have classic symptoms of a dead fuel pump relay, gives only intermittant current, or dead fuel pump. There are two pumps in series, if one is bad, you won't get enough pressure to operate. Fuel pressure is 4 bar, I think, maybe higher.
I would also check the rotor -- they are known to crack and jump around, commonly after a sudden high rpm "shock". If it's still turning, it will give you spark, but not at the correct cylinder.
