Tom, rather than replace a bunch of expensive parts, you might get away with a touch of silicone along the edge of the switch. You could put a small layer on and allow it to dry with the switch out. Then you would get the additional friction needed to hold it in place. You would not have a mess of the switch siliconed to the headliner.
