Easier to have the 240 one cut down to the right size. Then again, I may have to re-think the whole thing, if the trans is an auto...., the 300D shaft may need NO mods. Was thinking only a manual trans, but IIRC, you have an auto behind the 240, if that is the case and I've not imagined that in a drunken stupor, then you may NOT have to modify the 300D shaft, it should just swap in with the engine.
