Your 482 option is basically different springs (taller) and shock absorbers (stiffer) to raise the height of the car and to make it ride better on non-paved road surfaces.

According to the local dealer, my W124 wagon has at least eight different original factory mounted front shocks and seven different spring setups. All depends on the type of suspension the car originally came with (standard, raised, sport, etc, etc) and even the number and type of extras that were fitted. One example: a car equipped with air conditioning would use a completely different shock and spring setup that a car equipped with A/C.

In the option lists I have from the dealer, it lists about twelve different setups for window types and treatments to be installed on W124s (same for W140s, et.al). They vary from a combination of laminated and non-lamited safety glass, tinted and non-tinded glass and windshields, etc, etc, etc. In some models the intensity of the tinted color can also be varied.
