Lino, I think you and I have the same problem. Check out my own thread in the forum. I got billed for a complete rebuild, and it turns out that I only got a patch job, and the Mercedes dealer I took the car to for a subsequent diagnostic says I still need a complete rebuild.
The shop I went to is a Mercedes only independent, but they farm out the transmission work and it was never dyno tested; in fact, the outsourcing shop does not even have the equipment to do that. So, my advice is to make sure the shop actually has the equipment to test their work, that they actually will do a complete rebuild if they bill you for it. Shop around too. You can also buy a transmission rebuilt to factory specs from eurotransmissions.com for about $1250 net (swapping your old trans in), and pay about $450 in labor to have the old one taken out and the new one put in. I spoke to a couple of shops that use their transmissions, and they come highly recommended. Good luck.
