Do you have a block heater? its just above and in front of the starter....if you have one.

Do you have a multimeter? if not consider getting one.....check for voltage at any of the glow plugs. If you do have it then you need to unplug the harness from the Glowplug relay and measure resistance of the glow plugs on a low scale.....look for shorts or higher than average resistance. I will bet you have one or more bad......

If you have no voltage to the glow plugs when there should be than you need to find out why.....if its a 126 I am sure there are plenty of people here with specifics.....that relay is different than my W116 chassis has.

My glowplug light only works once in a long while, but starts reliabley even in the cold. (5 new glowplugs)
