I just had the odometer on my 1988, 420 SEL, repaired. My local mechanic replaced the smallest gear. The odometer works fine, now, but I can't push the reset button. It's stuck, and it was stuck when I took the car in for the odometer repair. What might be the reason? I assumed that when the broken gear was replace that the reset button would work. Not so.
