You missed the torque converter. Should have been two seal rings in that filter kit - you did change the filter didn't you? If not you need to start over. You can get a filter kit. It should have two crush rings in it. One goes on the tranny pan plug and the other on the torque converter plug. Drain both, remove the pan, change the gasket and re-install the pan (new pan gasket comes with the filter kit too). You will need to turn the engine over while someone underneath watches for the tq plug to come around in the small opening at the bell housing.

After you have finished everything you then want to put 4 qts in. Start the car and put another qt or so in. After the car is running and you get to within a qt of your rated capacity you will need to drive for awhile and get the tranny topped off. Take your time here with alot of test drives. You do not want to over fill. Expect the tranny to do some screwey stuff if too low when you start the test drives.
