You will need 3 gaskets for the intake manifold. 1 large oring where the cross over fits into the other pipe by the egr. A flat gasket for the crossover to the manifold. Also a manifold gasket.
When I had mine off I filled it with kerosene and cleaned all of the ege crud out with a cheap pipe brush.
Two things I wished I had replaced while I was in their was the temp sensor for the temp guage. Also I wish I had done that clear return line on the other side of the IP. It cost less than $20 if I remember correctly the sensor I was told ran about $25.
Also get some clips for the hard injector lines, all of the old ones will be very brittle. Brian C might still have some of the egr plate kits, his are nice and you can remove the valve all together. Or you can get another gasket and stick a plate in their and bolt the egr back on.
