I knew the exact solution to the guy's problem, I've rewired those dashes 20 times, but he didn't want to listen. I may not be as good as Hatteras Guy, gsxr or Larry Bible or Pete Burton,or Diesel Dog but I am good, take my word for it...
(1) Let them fry their own fish
(2) Go along with the science fiction, and tell them the fiber optics system is connected to the vacuum system by a fiber vacuum transducer
(3) Get corroborating posters to help..

My attitude generally:
I offer advice, if you use it, great, if you ignore it, ok, it is your choice.
Do not take it as a personal issue; it is not your knuckles getting shredded, or your wallet.
Relax, offer advice and have an adult beverage of your choice, while you do it.
Personal attacks = BAD, that is one of many reasons I like this forum, we can be civil and disagree, but the wonderful "moderators" here will squash flamers, SPAMMERS and other parasites fast.
