One of my 240s, my '77 has 300 across all cylinders and it smokes big time--need of rings. I had read new these should have a reading of 400 but do not know this to be true as I am not a mechanic and never saw it writing. My engine has seen its better days due to the lack of maintenence by a prior owner who ran it as a farm vehicle.
