I'm assuming this is a write-up of removing the plastic "clam shell" without taking the wiper mechanism off the car. If that's the case, the unfortunate thing is that this method doesn't apply to many W124s, which usually do need to be removed from the vehicle and several small screws removed from the back to open up the mechanism for cleaning/lubing.
