New valve seals cured the oil usage on mine. Trouble is, I also had to get a new cam (not cheap). If you need a cam, get new lifters while you're in there. And yes, passenger side...after reading posts here for the last 5+ years, I've come to the conclusion that it happens more than anyone would like to admit.
