not sure if its the same on your car but on my 16v with sls i did this.
lengthen rod to maximum length, gave me about 1/2"
put loads of weight in the boot, i used my mate. approx 12 stone.
get under the car, wheels on the floor, rear sls shocks under load.
crack the bleed nipple on top of the sls valve and relases a LITTLE fluid-careful it comes flying out. engine must be running. I managed to drop the rear another 3/4" this way with no negative effects.
