I have read that the new 7 series will have a 320HP 4.4L V-8 and 400HP 6.0L V-12. Where does this leave the S-class ? The 740i will have 18 more HP than even the S500, but the competitor to the 740i is the S430 not the S500. And what about the V-12 ? 367 against the new V-12 w/ 400 hp ? I know that the S55 is out, but that's a AMG tuned car, so lets compare that with M tuned cars, not normal bmw models. Does anyone have any info on when MB will come out w/ new 4.3 and 5.0 liter engines ? I suspect when the supercharged S50 comes out in a couple years they will update the 430 and 500 engines as well. What do you think ? Does anyone have any additional info ?
