you should never connect any type of ohm meter to the air bag, the current the meters batteries supplies can deploy the bag. what you need to do if you suspect a defective bag is connect a 2-5 ohm resistor to the ingition squib connector, if it is indeed a defective bag or etr, the resitance you introduce will turn off the light, so it is not safe to check the bag using any type of ohm meter.
