I was having rattling noises in the front of my ’98 E430 – most searches came back with changing the control arm bushings and ball joints. So, I did that and they probably needed to be changed but it didn’t eliminate the rattling.
Finally, a post from Phouse stated the same thing, but he went ahead and changed the sway bar links. So, I did and bam!! No, rattle! Thanks Phouse if you are out there.
