we dont have that kind of differences in weather here, but when it is cold outside (relatively for our climate here), my car seems to be happier running around... livelier engine and all.. (especially when it is raining)... as compared to a hot sunny day....where the car seems to bog down or feel rough and sluggish...

as for the rattles.. well.. hot or not. i have those.. even the squeeks.. hehehe... i believe the rattles and squeeks are more pronounced when it is cold due to the contraction of metals (?) though they are solid materials they do have some contraction/expansion in them.. and when it is hot outside, the materials expand and this basically makes the panels, doors "fit" better as opposed to a cold weather... well.. that's the way i see it.. ehehe.. i maybe wrong.. not really a rocket scientist.. ehehe..
